Install on WordPress & WooCommerce

Use the official plugin, or drop the loader into functions.php.

Platform guides

Official plugin (recommended)

  1. Download the DeepSync plugin from Settings → Install → WordPress.
  2. In WP Admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the zip.
  3. Activate it, then open Settings → DeepSync and paste your project ID.
  4. Load your site in a fresh tab and check Sessions.
The plugin skips the admin area automatically, so your own wp-admin clicks never eat into your session quota. If you install manually, replicate that with the is_admin() guard below.

Manual install

php
/* Add to your theme's functions.php (or a code-snippets plugin): */
function deepsync_enqueue_tracker() {
  if ( is_admin() ) { return; }
  wp_enqueue_script(
    'deepsync',
    'https://ingest.deepsync.in/t/YOUR_PROJECT_ID.js',
    array(),
    null,
    array( 'strategy' => 'async', 'in_footer' => false )
  );
}
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'deepsync_enqueue_tracker' );
Edit a child theme, not the parent. A parent-theme functions.php is overwritten on the next theme update, silently taking your tracking with it.

WooCommerce

Nothing extra is required for page and checkout tracking. If you want purchases to appear as a goal with revenue attached, fire a custom event on the order-received page and set that event as your goal's target — see Goals & conversions.
