One paste into theme.liquid, plus a note about checkout pages.

Platform guides
  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → ⋯ → Edit code.
  2. Open layout/theme.liquid.
  3. Paste the snippet immediately before </head> and save.

Shopify's hosted checkout pages do not run theme code on non-Plus plans, so replay stops at the checkout boundary. Everything up to "Checkout" is recorded, which is where nearly all fixable drop-off happens anyway.
