Quickstart — from signup to first session
The five-minute path: create a workspace, add a project, paste one script tag, watch a replay.
Getting started
DeepSync needs one script tag on your site and nothing else. Everything below — replay, heatmaps, funnels, errors, the AI chat widget — is switched on from the dashboard afterwards, without touching your code again.
- Sign up and create a workspace. A workspace maps to your company or client; projects live inside it.
- Create a project for the site you want to track. You'll be asked for its URL and framework so the setup guide shows the right snippet.
- Copy the embed snippet from the install wizard (or Settings → Install) and paste it into your site.
- Open your live site and click around for ten seconds.
- Go back to Sessions in the sidebar. Your visit appears within a few seconds — open it and playback starts immediately.
Install the snippet in staging first if you can. Sessions from staging count against your monthly limit the same as production ones, so remove it once you've confirmed the install works.
What to do next
- Set your replay retention and tracking mode in Settings — both are per-project and affect what gets stored.
- Define one goal or funnel so DeepSync can report conversion, not just traffic.
- If you're on a paid plan, turn on the AI chat widget and point it at your site so it can answer visitor questions.
