Session limits & what happens at the cap
How sessions are counted, and what stops when you hit the limit.
Plans & billing
One session is one visit, ending after 30 minutes of inactivity. Your plan's monthly allowance counts sessions, not pageviews or visitors, because sessions are what cost storage.
At the cap
- New session recording stops for the remainder of the billing month.
- Everything already recorded stays available and fully usable.
- You are never billed an overage — the cap is a stop, not a charge.
- Recording resumes automatically at the start of the next billing month, or immediately if you upgrade.
If you're regularly hitting the cap mid-month, check for staging or internal traffic being recorded before upgrading. Excluding your own team's visits often buys back more headroom than a tier bump.
