Turning on the chat widget
Enable it, index your content, and check the diagnostics panel.
Chatbot & Live ChatEnterprise
Requires an Enterprise plan.
- Go to Settings → Chat widget.
- Toggle Enabled on. This is what tells the loader to serve the widget to your visitors.
- Set the bot's name, subtitle, avatar, theme colour, and position — see Chat widget settings for every field.
- Open the Knowledge tab and run a crawl of your site so the AI has something to answer from.
- Load your site in a fresh tab and confirm the launcher appears.
The settings page has a live diagnostics panel showing whether the loader will actually serve chat, whether the entitlement mirror is populated, and whether the live bus is reachable. Check it first whenever the widget isn't showing up — it usually names the problem outright.
