The chat inbox
Where conversations land, and what you can send back.
Chatbot & Live ChatEnterprise
Requires an Enterprise plan.
The inbox lists every conversation with its status (open or closed), mode (AI or human), unread count, and whether the visitor is still live on the site right now. Live conversations push new messages and typing indicators over a WebSocket, so you see a reply the moment it's sent.
Rich message types
Replies aren't limited to plain text. The composer can send buttons, a dropdown, a single input, a multi-field form, a rating request, cards, or a link — so you can collect a structured answer instead of parsing a sentence.
Conversation controls
- Mode — flip between AI and human. Sending a message flips it to human automatically.
- Status — close a conversation when it's resolved, or reopen it.
- Open widget — force the widget open on the visitor's screen, useful when you want to catch someone before they leave.
- Suggestions — AI-drafted replies you can edit and send.
Messages always go over REST, never fire-and-forget over the socket, so a dropped connection costs freshness but never a message. Everything the socket would have delivered is already stored and reappears on the next fetch.
